Why I built this
From the Founder, ParentMoney HQ
I’m a 40-something mom of a 3-year-old. I’ve worked in real estate and corporate America, and I’ve always loved money and investing — especially the quiet power of starting early.
When Trump Accounts arrived, I couldn’t find one clear, honest place that showed what my kid might actually get from employers, states, or philanthropists, what our family should protect, and where to park cash at a decent FDIC rate. So I started building ParentMoney HQ: sourced listings, plain-language tools, and disclosures up front.
Warm welcome — and please double-check every source we link. Programs and rates move.
How we work
- Contributor tracker entries must have a source URL we opened; no invented rows.
- Savings/CD rates must come from an FDIC-insured bank’s own page opened on the verified date.
- We publish our rate ranking method: sort by APY; pay never affects rank.
- No pop-ups. No fake reviews. Affiliate CTAs stay placeholders until a real link exists.
Not financial or legal advice
ParentMoney HQ provides general education only. Nothing here is financial, investment, tax, insurance, or legal advice. We do not recommend specific products for your situation. Consult qualified professionals and the official sources we cite (Treasury, IRS, bank pages, employers).
Affiliate disclosure
Some pages include placeholder affiliate CTA slots (for example Trust & Will, Ladder, and bank listings). When live links are added, we may earn a commission if you click or sign up — at no extra cost to you. Compensation never changes which contributors we list, which rates we publish, or how rates are ranked.
