What is pledged
A company match of the government's one-time $1,000 contribution. In Treasury's Aug 11, 2026 release, Visa's Vice Chair said Visa is making Trump Accounts available to U.S. employees "along with a company match of the government's one-time $1,000 contribution." Source: U.S. Treasury, Aug 11, 2026 (employer contributions) (verified Oct 16, 2026). Treasury also lists Visa Inc. among corporate commitments. Who qualifies
U.S. Visa employees (for children eligible for the government seed). Source: U.S. Treasury, Aug 11, 2026 (employer contributions) (verified Oct 16, 2026). We did not find a public Visa page with further eligibility rules.
How to get it
Claim the child's Trump Account, then follow Visa's internal benefits guidance. Visa has not published public enrollment steps that we could find. The Treasury seed requires the account to be claimed. Source: U.S. Treasury, Oct 1, 2026 (automatic enrollment) (verified Oct 16, 2026).
How the federal rules apply
Employer money goes into the child's Trump Account, so the account has to exist and be claimed. Treasury says every eligible child under 18 with a valid SSN now has an automatically enrolled account, and a parent or guardian must claim it in the official Trump Accounts app to manage it and let employers contribute. Source: U.S. Treasury, Oct 1, 2026 (automatic enrollment) (verified Oct 16, 2026).
Employer (section 128) contributions are limited to $2,500 a year (per employee, not per child), and they count toward the $5,000 annual limit. The $1,000 Treasury seed does not. Source: IRS Instructions for Form 4547 (verified Oct 16, 2026).
